Sessions for a patient after hospital discharge typically include mobility progression and reconditioning, environmental assessments, equipment recommendations, and referral to other services (e.g. occupational therapy). As per the recent announcement by Manitoba Health, if you have just had your hip or knee replaced you qualify for funding through the government for your physiotherapy.

Patients who have neurological condition will have their physiotherapist focus on management of tone, gait retraining, general strengthening and balance exercises. If needed, recommendations will be made for equipment. Click here for more information.

Our physiotherapists work with seniors to start a general reconditioning and strengthening program, home environment assessments to prevent falls, collaborate with family/caregivers, fall prevention strategies, equipment recommendations and referral to any other services that may be needed (e.g. OT, or lifeline)
