Nursing Services in the Comfort of Your Home

Meet Jane. She was a busy mom recovering from surgery who was struggling with mobility, wound care and managing her medications. Her biggest struggle was making appointments (with her kids), managing the pain and she generally felt overwhelmed. Our in-home nurse came and was able to help her with wound care, correctly taking medications, education regarding her wound and medications and reassurance. This allowed her to focus more on her recovery and helped with the overwhelm. This is why we are bringing nursing directly into your home.

What is private nursing?

A nurse coming into your home can fulfill a different role than home care. Home care helps with activities of daily living like cleaning or bathing while nursing will focus on your medical needs. Nurses can check your vital signs, manage wounds, post operative support, chronic condition management all the while giving personalized education.

At PhysiGO, our nurses are highly trained and passionate about bringing you the best possible care but without having to leave the comfort of home. There is no rushing, no stress and you will receive 1:1 attention and care that is tailored to exactly what you would like. Our focus is to make sure you are feeling your best and monitor your medical needs without having the put on your shoes.

Will private nursing help me?

Private nursing may be appropriate if:

You recently had surgery.

Post surgical recovery can be difficult to manage especially as the anesthesia starts to wear off. Generally, having someone to help you through the first few days and then check in later on can be a huge help to combat the sore and tired feelings you will be experiencing. A nurse will check your wound, change dressings as needed/directed and manage any pain concerns.

You find it hard to leave your home.

There are many reasons patients find it hard to leave their homes whether its pain, mobility, weather or transportation challenges, we are finding many patients are preferring in-home nursing. In-home nursing removes the stress of getting to an appointment.

You’re managing a chronic condition.

A nurse can monitor the symptoms are you experiencing from a chronic condition e.g. diabetes, heart disease, COPD or arthritis and help you understand what is happening and how to continue with your treatment plan. Our nurses are great at keeping you on track but also managing flare ups if they happen.

You are taking multiple medications.

Are you unsure on your medications? Why are you taking them? When do you take them? What are the potential side effects? A nurse can sit down with you and go through all of this information to keep you safe and organized.

You want support for an aging parent or loved one.

Regular visits can give peace of mind to your aging parent and yourself that someone is doing a medical check in and making sure they can stay independent as long as possible. If your loved one is no longer safe to stay at home by themselves our nurse will have a conversation with you.

You’re looking for a safer, smoother recovery.

Regular nursing visits can catch a medical event before it happens. This helps avoid emergency room visits and readmission to the hospital.

You want more time, attention, and education.

Typical visits with your primary healthcare practitioner can be short and quick. A 1:1 nursing visit gives you time to ask those unanswered questions and gain more knowledge without feeling rushed.

If you are unsure, please reach out! We would be happy to chat through your situation and see if nursing might be a valuable resource to you.
